Where the Light Meets the Sea is an original acrylic painting inspired by the simple beauty of a sandy beach, wild coastal grasses and sunlight stretching across the water.
Soft blues and warm sandy tones create a calm coastal feel, while loose, expressive marks capture the movement of the sea, grasses and evening light. I particularly loved working with the circular canvas for this piece – it gives the painting the feeling of a little window looking out towards the coast.
The warm painted edge adds another layer of colour and means this small seascape looks lovely displayed directly on the wall, without the need for a frame.
At just 20cm, it’s a small original painting with plenty of character – perfect for adding a touch of coastal colour to a bedroom, hallway, living room or gallery wall.
